 The BIDMC Mass Spectrometry Core has an immediate opening for Sr. Research Associate/Research Associate/Lab Manager. The positin requires knowledge of mass spectrometry and HPLC instrumentation. The candidate will be exptected to prepare samples for analysis for proteomics/metabolomics/lipidomics, maintain laboratory equipment, coordinate sample submissions with customers and collaborators as well as ordering and sample logging. The candidate will also help with research projects and method development as time permits. The atmosphere is a research driven core lab that is protocol driven and attention to detail is essential. We have several projects in the mass spectrometry based -Omics space including multi-omics and serial-omics development in cancer signaling and related diseases via metabolomics, lipidomics and proteomics. We have global high resolution LC-MS/MS metabolomics and lipidomics 13C/15N flux projects that need further development. We also have proteomics only projects involving global PTMs and stable isotope labeling. Inqure with your CV and statement of research interests. We are looking for a research associate that will help our laboratory prepare protein, small molecule and lipid samples for various mass spectrometry experiments as well as help with preparing reagents, ordering, logging and billing and mass spectrometer instrument maintenance.
